Died for a one-sided crush

 The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the world seemed like a beautiful place. Little did Emily know, that this would be the last day she would see in her short life.

Emily was a young woman who had a one-sided crush on a man named John. She had always admired him from afar, but never had the courage to tell him her true feelings. She would often watch him from a distance, and daydream about being with him and having a meaningful relationship.

Today, Emily finally mustered up the courage to approach John and tell him how she felt, but when she got to his house, she saw something that she never expected to see. John was in the middle of an altercation with an armed robber, and the robber had a gun pointed at him.

Without thinking, Emily ran in between them and placed herself between John and the robber. The rest is history.
